Four generations of dentists. One family practice in Lenexa.
Dr. Ric Crowder opened this office on West 87th Street Parkway in 2006. His oldest daughter, Dr. Kayla Burdette, is the fourth generation of the family to practise, and the fourth to train at UMKC. Cleanings, crowns, implants and emergencies, for the whole household.
New patients welcome. We work with many insurance carriers, so tell us who covers you when you call and we will check before you are in the chair.
Children, parents, grandparents. One waiting room.
Dr. Crowder's three children can often be seen helping out at the office. Kayla spent her school holidays here before she trained at UMKC. JJ still drops in. Most families who walk in have been coming for years.

Four generations. One dental school. One address since 2006.
Dr. Ric Crowder is the third dentist in his family. His oldest daughter, Dr. Kayla Burdette, is the fourth, and she spent her school holidays in this office long before she trained in it. It is the kind of continuity you cannot advertise your way into.

Advanced dentistry, gently done
The equipment matters because of what it saves you: fewer appointments, less guesswork, and a clear picture of what is going on before anyone picks up an instrument.
- Same-day crownsOne visitDesigned and milled here, so a crown does not need a temporary and a second trip.
- Digital X-raysLower doseImages come up on the screen beside the chair while you are still sitting in it.
- Invisalign®Clear alignersRemovable trays instead of fixed brackets and wires, for adults and teenagers.
Pinned to the board
Dr. Crowder earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2017: 500 hours of continuing education, a written examination, and three years of continuing membership. He has served as President of the Kansas AGD and as Chair of the Dental Practice Council for the national AGD.
